Oh Cool, Another SpaceX Rocket Exploded
Everyone get your brooms out, time to clean up more space debris.
SpaceX has pulled off some incredible launches in their time. They’ve also blown up a lot of rockets, which really makes their whole “future of travel,” “Los Angeles to New York in 25 minutes via rocket” idea seem like a pretty bad plan. I guess they never said you’d make it in one piece!
Anyway, SpaceX has been capturing headlines recently owing to their rocket launches — or, rather, their failure to launch rockets. In January, the company’s Starship rocket blew up in just eight minutes, spreading pollution and debris far outside the “dedicated hazard area.”
Now, they’ve done it again. According to the Associated Press, the Starship lost contact during its test flight and fell back down to earth after just a few minutes. Better luck next time!
Welp.
